The Annual General Meeting was held this year
on Thursday 27th November in Marden House.
Reports on the current state of the Association were presented.
Two members of the committee, Chairman Malcolm Gull and Secretary Christine Cooper
had reached the end of their first 3-year terms of office;
both were proposed and elected to continue for a second term.
Treasurer Janet Coombs resigned after many years of service to the association, for which we are all most grateful.
Mike Tuck was proposed and elected to take over the Treasurer role.
After the formal business, we enjoyed a wide selection of buffet food.
Then we had a most interesting talk and slideshow from Dr. Norman Beale, about his new book 'Joseph Priestley in Calne'. We learnt many things but were left wanting to know more about this scientist, who did such important work whilst living in and around our area.
